Firmware:

All firmware must be updated as part of the commissioning (Dongle, inverter, and battery).

Updating the firmware should also be the first port of call to resolve issues.

If an update doesn’t resolve an issue, try the solutions below.

Sizing the AC Cable (Hybrids):

Because the AC cable has to carry both the Backup load current, plus the battery forced charge from grid, in the case of it being night time (no solar) and depleted battery, the full current will come from the grid, through the inverter.

All data sheets show “Max power from grid”. For example:

AC cable will need to be rated to carry at least 52 Amps.

Commissioning:

  • All commissioning is done via the Dongle:

Error 38:

Error 38 means the changeover switch has been wired incorrectly and the grid is back-feeding into the backup port of the inverter: https://youtu.be/b8i28vRggzA

Error 106 (Hybrids):

Error 106 normally means that the chassis of the Hybrid inverter has not been earthed correctly:

If solar production is low:

In most occasions, the MPP voltage range for full power has been exceeded. Please refer to the appendix on the install manual. Example below:

Backup not working:

  • Enable the backup, and set the battery reserve capacity:

  • Overload - Check that the backup has not been overloaded i.e. SH10RT backup is 10 kW / 3 phases = 3.3 kW per phase (14.3A): Guide here
