How Sungrow Trade-In Program Works
Existing Australian Sungrow product users can now trade in eligible inverters for credit towards upgrading a new Sungrow Hybrid Inverter and Battery System through an accredited Solar Company.

Step-by-Step Overview and Roles
1. End-User
Responsibility:
Owns the existing inverter and initiates the upgrade through an accredited Solar Company.
Procedure:
1. Contacts an Solar Company for a quote of the upgrade system installation and Trade-in T&Cs.
2. Acknowledges that the trade-in value is redeemed through the Solar Company, not Sungrow directly.
3. Provides written authorization for the Solar Company
to apply for the trade-in.
4. Understand that the Solar Company will manage all the trade-in application, inverter removal and return, installation of the new system, and Sungrow will communicate directly with the solar company. 5. Assists with the return of the trade-in inverter as needed.
2. Solar Company
Responsibility:
Upgrade the new system for the End-User, coordinator between Reseller (if applicable), and Distributor.
Procedure:
1. Confirm the existing inverter is eligible. Reach an agreement with the End-User, and ensure the End-user acknowledge and agree the Sungrow Trade-In Program Terms and Conditions.
2. Submits the trade-in application or may delegates this to a Reseller if applicable.
3. Received Sungrow's Pre-approved trade-in Voucher Code and applies it to the nominated Registered Distributor.
4. Installs the new eligible Sungrow Hybrid Inverter and Battery System Package for the end-user.
5. Ensures the Trade-in Inverter is returned to Sungrow.
6. Re-submits post-installation documentation and invoice for Trade-In Voucher Code activation.
7. Settle the voucher credit directly with the nominated Registered Distributor upon the form submission or via the Reseller if agreed.
3. Solar Reseller(if involved)
Responsibility:
Supplies the Sungrow Products on a small to medium scale, may act as the trade-in case applicant on behalf of the Solar Company and End-user.
Procedure:
1. Submits the trade-in application form with all required documents, as delegated by the Solar Company.
2. Uploads a job-specific invoice and release the stocks to the Solar Company.
3. Received Sungrow's Pre-approved trade-in Voucher Code and applies it to the nominated Registered Distributor.
4. Collect and return the trade-in inverter after the solar company finished the new system upgrade.
5. Re-submits post-installation documentation and invoice for Trade-In Voucher Code activation.
6. Redeems the voucher credit (as sole case applicant) directly with the nominated Registered Distributor, and disburse the trade-in value with the Solar Company as per the pre-agreed arrangement.
4. Registered Solar Distributor
Responsibility:
Supplies the Sungrow Products on a large scale and handles the trade-in voucher redemption.
Procedure:
1. Must contact Sungrow to register as a Registered Distributor in order to participate in the trade-in program.
2. Registered in the Sungrow trade-in program portal. Validates Voucher Codes tied to specific trade-in cases.
3. Redeems the trade-in vouchers through Sungrow and receives a credit note.
4. Applies trade-in credit on invoices and settles payments with the Solar Company/Reseller at own arrangement.
5. Cannot combine this program with any other Sungrow promotion.
5. Sungrow
Responsibility:
Oversees and approves the entire trade-in process.
Procedure:
1. Reviews trade-in eligibility and verifies submitted documentation.
2. Issues pre-approved trade-in Voucher Codes.
3. Activates Trade-In Voucher Codes once all post-installation requirements are fulfilled.
4. Issues credit notes to the Registered Distributor Only.
5. May revoke incomplete or overdue trade-in cases.
✅ Key Requirements
♦ The system upgrade must include a Sungrow Hybrid Inverter plus at least an SBR096/SBH200 Battery at the same location.
♦ Only One trade-in inverter is accepted per site.
♦ Trade-in inverters must be returned and in relative good condition.
♦ The Trade-in Voucher Code is redeemable ONLY after the new system is installed and activated by Sungrow.
♦ The Voucher Code is redeemable only through the Nominated Registered Distributor
with the matching invoice upon trade-in form submission.
♦ Voucher codes may be applied to invoices for specific trade-in cases or bulk purchases. Bulk purchases must include only Sungrow Products and cannot be combined with other Sungrow promotional offers.
♦ The invoice must reflect a new purchase that aligns with the timeline of the corresponding trade-in case.
♦ By participating in the Sungrow Trade-In Program, all parties acknowledge and agree to the Sungrow Trade-In Program Terms and Conditions
